Thank you for your interest in partnering with Lakeshore Paws. We are a dedicated, volunteer-driven nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in Valparaiso, Indiana. As we do not receive government funding, we rely heavily on community support to raise awareness and advance our mission.
Events allow our staff, volunteers, and animals to engage directly with the community and our supporters. Although we strive to participate in as many events as possible, we often receive numerous requests and must prioritize due to our limited availability.
We carefully review each event request, and here are some key points to keep in mind before you submit:
1. Event Location: Priority will be given to events held within Valparaiso.
2. Annual Fundraiser: Our major fundraiser takes place in mid-June. We will likely be unable to approve events around this time.
3. Puppy Availability: As our shelter population changes daily, we cannot guarantee the availability of puppies for events.
4. Fundraising Events: We prioritize events that are focused on raising monetary funds.
5. Event Duration: Please limit your event to a 2-hour window to ensure the health and safety of our dogs. We may not be able to attend if extreme temperatures or severe weather conditions pose a risk and there is no indoor access.
6. Monetary Deposits: We are unable to approve events that require a monetary deposit.
7. Adoption Processing: We do not conduct offsite adoptions. All adoptions must be processed at our facility.
